Can I invite family members to join my account?
Yes. You will be the primary member of your account which allows you to invite secondary members to join. There is no limit on secondary members and there is no additional charge to them or you to be a secondary member on an account.
Will my family members be able to see all my information?
Secondary members are unable to see any documents you, the primary member, has uploaded. Through Legacy Safe's permissioning tool, you can give loved ones access to certain files or folders as you deem it necessary.

Once permissioned, secondary members will have VIEW ONLY rights to your account. They will be unable to upload, edit, or delete documents.

An App Executor is someone you choose to access and manage your Legacy Safe account if you’re incapacitated or after your passing. They’ll have full access to the documents and information you’ve stored to carry out your wishes and handle your affairs.
How will an App Executor gain access after I die?
Your named App Executor(s) will need to submit a death certificate in order for the system to allow them access to the Primary Member's account. Once the death certificate is verified, the App Executor(s) will have full control over files and folders.

Can Legacy Safe see the Primary Members documents in their folders?
No. Legacy Safe does not have access to any documents uploaded to member accounts. These documents can only be accessed by the Primary member and any Secondary members they grant access too.
Think of it like this:
You’re putting your files into a locked safe, and then scrambling the lock combination so only you (and the people you choose) have the key. Even though your documents are stored on our secure servers, we can’t see them, read them, or access them. Only you and your trusted App Executor have that power.
We use the same kind of encryption that banks and hospitals use—strong, secure, and trusted—so your private information stays completely private, just like it should be.
Can Legacy Safe help me create a will?
Legacy Safe cannot give legal advice including preparing a will. It is strictly a secure storage platform for your personal information.
Can I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your Legacy Safe membership at any time.
What happens to the Primary account holder's membership after they die??
Legacy Safe will keep the account open, free of charge, for 90 days after the primary member dies. The App Executors can then choose to keep the account active longer until they are ready to cancel the subscription. They will be informed of when the subscription renews to make decisions on continuing or closing the account.
How can I find an attorney to help me?
COMING SOON! The Attorney Search menu will allow both Primary and Secondary Members to search for a local attorney for questions or advice. After initial engagement with an attorney, legal fees may apply.

30 days.
